1. I
work with students of all ages mainly in basic math, pre-algebra, and
algebra. With general elementary and secondary credentials I can teach a variety of subjects, but math is the most requested.
2. I highly recommend two tutoring sessions a week for maximum effect.
3. Rates
are $20/hour for each of two students, and $30/hour for a single
student if sessions are held out of my house in Redwood City with
another adult present. (These are probably the most affordable
available rates for private tutoring by a trained and experienced
teacher in the area, but part of my payment is the cooperation I seek
below.)
4. Students must want to take
the tutoring sessions, have a good attitude, must complete school
homework, and show effort and
cooperation in their regular classes. Their cooperation and engagement
in their own learning is a part of my payment. For my part, I will make
the lessons as interesting and engaging as possible. I have a knack of
zeroing in problems and pride myself on making math concepts and skills
clear and easy. I strive to boost self esteem and confidence as well as
skills and understanding.
5. Since I plan my day around a tutoring session, please respect that and give advance
notice for any cancellation. I will do to the same.
